The best thing about living in Dubai is you get to witness new places almost every season. Parks are one of our favorite family outings on weekends and we try our best to explore new parks on Fridays when the weather is good. During summers, we usually just stay indoors as the heat is so unbearable and we mostly explore indoor activities. So before the weather completely changes,we decided to visit Dubai Garden Glow which is next to Zabeel park  one of our most visited parks in Dubai. People started visiting the Dubai Garden Glow since it opened in October, if I am not mistaken and I know I am a bit late but better than never, right?

Dubai Garden Glow

The place is very colorful and they surely tried to make something unique and very attractive. During the day time, you simply will enjoy the colors, kids’ face painting, the food lane like any other parks. You will feel like you have entered a zoo with giant animals around and the Ants marching are my kids’ favorite, well I guess my favorite.  The moment I stepped in, all I could think was why this place was talked about a lot. Since we reached there during day light, I wasn’t really able to answer that question to my satisfaction.

They also made a kind of Food street where your kids can easily force you to buy them each and everything they see  Cotton candies, Ice cream, corns , Juice bars etc , there were just plenty to choose from. To be honest , not just kids but we adults will be tempted to enjoy the treats. We had ice cream rolls from ON THE MOO, COTTON CANDY, CORN and POP CORNS. So save some penny for that too.

Kids enjoyed having some face painting and they offered them for free on Fridays.

It was time for us to enter the Dinosaur Area which was supposed to give a “Jurassic Park” kinda experience. Guys, that was an amazing experience though. LOL The child in me just started jumping.

There were big dinosaurs that stood still during the day light and when it was dark, one of them started walking from its place interacting with people. It gave an experience of real dinosaurs to kids, at least.

They showed models of animals that we do not get to see always and their sizes were pretty good. The idea was, they all had lights inside and they will start glowing once it is dark.

They had this fairyland set up on the pond , very much similar to the land of Peter Pan and Tinker Bell, The Neverland.

There were amazing performances by acrobats and everyone were thoroughly entertained.

My favorite time of the day, Sunset.

Was it worth the visit? Definitely yes. the real beauty is during the dark as you will see each and everything lit from within and the place glows! A nice place to chill , spend with family and stay away from the life of social media.

Will I visit again? Not anytime soon. For the AED60 fee, I will be thinking first before going as we are family of 4, so it will be AED240 just for entrance minus the munching of tits bits inside.

But i highly recommend you visit as least once when you are in Dubai.
