Review & Swatches- NYX Love in Paris Eyeshadow Palette

So this is my first post since Ramadan started. Routine these days are just so different as there are more priorities but I can’t just abandon my love for blogging like that ,so took out time today to give you all another review. Today I’ll be reviewing NYX Love in Paris eyeshadow palette in LIP09 MERCI BEAUCOUP. Just before Ramadan I went on a mini haul of different brands and this is one of the few the I purchased.

I never ever heard of this palette before and when I saw it, I just had to buy it. It is very cute, about the size of my palm and comes with 9 colors in one palette. It comes in different shades though, another one I liked was very much ideal for smokey eye look which had silvers and blacks, but I already have so many of those shades. These shades are my all time favorite as you can use them anytime and anywhere. Above all, it is inexpensive.

Okay so NYX Love in Paris has

1. 4 matte shades and 5 shimmers(though the sales girl insisted they are metallic not shimmers ,still I don’t get it.)

2. The eyeshadow feels very soft, silky/velvety.

3. It has more of earth tones, ideal for all skin types

4. Easy to carry because of its cuteness <3

5. Very light

6. Packaging is pretty decent.

7. No fall outs (thumbs up for this)

Now comes the actual and important part of the review.

With all the beautiful things I said, the swatches might just be disappointing to you as it was to me. The color didn’t show up so well. Pigmentation I’d say is not good and I’ll definitely be using  my eyeshadow base to get the most out of these colors. To see which eye shadow base I use and how does it make difference, click here.

I suggest using a dense eyeshadow brush also and apply as many coats as you want for desired color.

When picked using fingers, the colors just look so heavenly. As soon as applied on skin, you got the result on the above picture.

This color is the bottom extreme right of the palette. The color in the pan is just so intense while upon coming to skin, they just became lighter.

I purchased this from Lifestyle, Ibn Batuta mall for AED65 ( if I remember well)
